Sanitation Project - Palghar, India

Rotary Club of Bombay Juhu Beach (RCBJB) has taken up an extremely gratifying project in Palghar District. Under this project, RCBJB will be installing Water Filtration System, Assembly line for manufacturing Sanitary Napkins that would be made available at a very cheap rate and Sanitary Napkins Disposal Units in the tribal villages in the District. Further, 60 toilet blocks would also be built in these tribal villages. This project, costing Rs 46 lakh (Rs 4.6 mln), is being financed by The Rotary Foundation under the Global Grant (Rs 20 lakh), RCBJB (Rs 8 lakh), Rotary International District 3140, Mumbai (Rs 10 lakh), Rotary Club of Albert Park, Melbourne (Rs 5 lakh), Rotary International District 9800, Melbourne (Rs 3 lakh).
